| Unlocking the hinge |
Locate and press the locking mechanism on each hinge (it should
make a click) and separate the sash from the frame. |

| Releasing the hinge |
Once the hinges are released, carefully separate the sash and
place to one side (store horizontally). |

| Bracket considerations |
 Consider
where the brackets should be placed in relation to the rafters
and the battens. Measure from the support batten (base of window)
so that the brackets (two on each side) do not conflict with
the existing battens.
