Fixing the Tile Flashing Steps 1-10  

Shaping tiles

Depending on the height of the tiles and proximity to the base of the window, it is sometimes necessary (with profiled tiles) to shape the tiles underneath the window to allow the corrugated apron to sit down correctly.

Cutting tiles

Measure out the desired cut point and use an agle grinder to chamfer the edges.

Replace tiles

Replace the bottom course of tiles.

Flat tiles should have a gap of 0-40mm to the frame.

Profiled tiles should have a gap then 60-80mm to the frame.

Install bottom flashing

Fix the bottom flashing section to the frame. Using your hands, press and smooth the apron to the contours of the tiles. If necessary, a rubber mallet may be used carefully to shape the apron.

Fit bottom cover

Fit the bottom window cover part.

Secure using screws

Fix using screws provided.

Fit side flashing

Fit the side flashing sections.

Check side flashing alignment

Make sure the side flashing section locates in the bottom section.

Secure side flashing

Pin to the side of the frame.

Fit side cover parts.
