It is always worth considering the external visual impact of installing roof windows. Consider how the windows will sit in relation to existing windows in the house, and try to balance the internal and external needs so that it looks right from outside and performs well from inside.

It is also worth of course considering the view from the window - if you live in great surroundings it maybe worth putting in a bank of windows. If however you live next to the motorway you may need to reconsider!
